Getting Started with GoonPad

This guide will help you get started using the GoonPad platform to launch and trade meme tokens on Solana.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

1. Solana Wallet

   • Phantom (recommended)
   • Backpack
   • Or any Solana-compatible wallet

2. SOL Tokens

   • Devnet SOL for testing (free from Solana Faucet)
   • Mainnet SOL for production (buy from exchanges)

3. Web Browser

   • Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge
   • With wallet extension installed

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

1. Navigate to goonpad.dev
2. Click "Connect Wallet" in the top-right corner
3. Select your wallet provider (Phantom, Backpack, etc.)
4. Approve the connection request in your wallet

Devnet vs Mainnet

Make sure your wallet is connected to the correct network:

• Devnet - For testing (free SOL from faucet)
• Mainnet - For production (real SOL)

You can switch networks in your wallet settings.

Step 2: Get SOL

For Devnet Testing

1. Copy your wallet address
2. Visit Solana Faucet
3. Paste your address and request SOL (up to 2 SOL per request)
4. Wait ~30 seconds for SOL to appear in your wallet

For Mainnet

Purchase SOL from:

• Centralized exchanges (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken)
• Decentralized exchanges (Jupiter, Raydium)
• Direct from other users

Then transfer to your Solana wallet address.

Step 3: Explore Tokens

Browse available tokens on the platform:

• Edging Feed - Active tokens on bonding curves (0-85 SOL)
• Nutted Feed - Graduated tokens on Raydium AMM (85+ SOL)

Click any token to:

• View detailed stats (price, market cap, volume)
• See price charts and holder distribution
• Watch live trades in real-time
• Check creator livestreams (if available)

Step 4: Trade Tokens

To buy or sell a token:

1. Navigate to Token Page

   • Click on any token from the feed
   • Or use the search function

2. Enter Amount

   • Choose how much SOL to spend (for buying)
   • Or how many tokens to sell

3. Configure Slippage (optional)

   • Default: 1% (100 basis points)
   • Max: 5% (500 basis points)
   • Higher slippage = more tolerance for price movement

4. Confirm Transaction

   • Review the trade details
   • Click "Buy" or "Sell"
   • Approve in your wallet

5. Wait for Confirmation

   • Transaction typically confirms in 1-5 seconds
   • You'll see a success message when complete

Transaction Fees

Every transaction on Solana requires a small fee (~0.00001 SOL). Make sure you have extra SOL beyond what you want to trade.
