Understanding GoonPad's 1.75% platform fee and how it works.

Platform Fee

GoonPad charges 1.75% on all token trades during the Edging phase (bonding curve).

When Fees Apply

[x] Fees charged:

Buying tokens on bonding curve
Selling tokens on bonding curve
Both trades during Edging phase (0-85 SOL)

[ ] No fees:

After graduation (Raydium fees apply instead)
Claiming Nut Jar rewards
Wallet transfers between users

Fee Calculation

Buy Example

You want to buy 10 SOL worth of tokens

Amount you pay:        10 SOL
Platform fee (1.75%):  0.175 SOL
Toward tokens:         9.825 SOL

Tokens received: Based on 9.825 SOL at current curve price

Sell Example

You sell tokens worth 10 SOL

Curve value:           10 SOL
Platform fee (1.75%):  0.175 SOL
You receive:           9.825 SOL

Actual received: 9.825 SOL in your wallet

Fee Distribution

The 1.75% fee is split:

During Edging Phase

100% of fees → Nut Jar smart contract

Fees accumulate in the Nut Jar until:

Token graduates (85 SOL reached), OR
Token expires (24 hours without graduation)

After Distribution Event

Total fees collected: 1.75 SOL

Creator share (30%):   0.525 SOL
Platform share (70%):  1.225 SOL

Creator can claim their 30% anytime after graduation or expiry.

GoonPad no longer takes fees - all trading is directly on Raydium.

Every blockchain transaction requires SOL:

Typical costs:

Token buy/sell: ~0.00001 SOL
Token creation: ~0.002 SOL
Wallet transfers: ~0.000005 SOL
Claiming rewards: ~0.00001 SOL

These fees go to Solana validators, not GoonPad.

Slippage

Slippage is NOT a fee, but can cost you:

You set: 1% slippage
Actual slippage: 0.5%

This is price movement, not a fee.

Claiming Creator Fees

Token creators earn 30% of platform fees.

Claiming process:

Token graduates or expires
Navigate to token page
Click "Claim Rewards"
Approve transaction
Receive SOL in wallet

Fee Optimization Tips

Reduce Trading Costs

1. Trade Larger Amounts

10 trades × 0.1 SOL = 10 × 0.001 = 0.01 SOL fees
1 trade × 1 SOL = 1 × 0.0175 = 0.0175 SOL fees

Larger trades = less total fees (fewer transactions)

2. Hold Until Graduation

Buy during Edging: 1.75% fee
Hold through graduation
Sell on Raydium: 0.25% fee

Total: ~2% vs multiple Edging trades

3. Time Your Exits

Wait for graduation before selling
Saves GoonPad fee (1.75% → 0.25%)

Fee FAQs

Do I pay fees twice on round-trip trades?

Yes. Buying pays 1.75%, selling pays 1.75%.

Buy 10 SOL of tokens:  0.175 SOL fee
Sell same tokens:      0.175 SOL fee (of sell amount)

Total fees: ~0.35 SOL on ~10 SOL round-trip

Can fees be waived?

No. Fees are hardcoded in smart contracts and apply to all trades equally.

No VIP fees, no special rates.

What if I transfer tokens to another wallet?

No fee. Wallet-to-wallet transfers are free (except Solana network fee of ~0.000005 SOL).

Do holders pay fees?

Only when trading. Just holding tokens has zero fees.

Are fees refundable?

No. All fees are final and non-refundable.
